MEMBER NEWS: SPRING 2023

VIEW FROM THE TOP

Make Time for YOUR Growth in 2023!

As talent development professionals, we spend our careers helping others grow and develop. We do this because we love it, and because we’re good at it.

Do you know what many of us are NOT good at doing: allocating time and effort to focus on our own development. When we invest in growing our capabilities, it strengthens our ability to develop others.

In January, we kicked off the year with the program, “It’s Your Turn to Level Up!” to set the tone for 2023. During the session, we spent an hour mapping out our individual development plans and making commitments to implement them. Several program participants continue to meet with their cohorts and hold each other accountable.

If you haven’t done so, I invite you to create your 2023 development plan. If you missed our January program, watch the recording from the member-only section of our website.

I also invite you to check out our programming schedule. Be sure to participate in the topics that align with your development plan — and join us for our informal social gatherings too!

Invest in yourself this year. It’s not selfish. You’re not too busy. You can always find the time and budget for things that are important. And YOU are important!

Amy Salapski, President

P.S. Send me an email me at cvatdpresident@gmail.com if you would like to be matched with a mentor as part of your development plan.

Our technology committee will collaborate with this special project committee to handle the techy stuff for implementing changes.

Sponsorship Committee: We are launching a sponsorship program to invite companies to support our chapter so that we might offer additional benefits to our members. We’re looking for volunteers to facilitate introductions to potential sponsors and/or approach potential sponsors to request their support.
