The Leadership Development COE was tasked with developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to support Cleveland Clinic's mission of "putting patients first to deliver World Class Care."

Ryan leads a team of learning and development professionals responsible for designing and executing a talent development strategy for more than 40,000 caregivers (incl. 2,600 leaders). His team’s areas of focus include assessments, training, eLearning, high potential programs, on-boarding, mentoring and coaching.
Ryan spent more than 10 years working for three Fortune 500 companies in
Northeast Ohio(FirstEnergy, J.M. Smucker and Goodyear Tire & Rubber) before joining Cleveland Clinic in 2010. He holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in finance and worked is a variety of corporate finance roles prior to moving into talent management in 2008. He considers himself an “intrapreneur.” His favorite career assignments have been the development of an enterprise risk management function, the creation of a talent management department, and the start-up of a leadership development “center of expertise.”
Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife and four boys. He lives in Akron, OH.
