Training vs. Facilitation - What's the Difference?
Which are you - a trainer or a facilitator? Does it make a difference?
Asked what the difference was by a woman who billed herself as a motivational speaker, I replied “A trainer believes that when they are talking, learning is taking place. A facilitator believes that when the audience is talking, learning is taking place." She couldn’t comprehend the difference.
- IS there one?
- How does the brain and how it is wired come into play?
- What is it you truly want people to be able to do as a result of spending time with you?
We will look at the differences. The same material will be trained and facilitated so that you may experience the difference.
